Kebijakan Plagiarism

GECI is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity. All submitted manuscripts must demonstrate originality and comply with ethical publication practices.

1. Manuscript Screening

• All submissions will be screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin or iThenticate).
• The similarity index will be used as an initial indicator of originality.
• Properly cited quotations and references will not be considered plagiarism.

2. Acceptable Similarity Threshold

• The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%.
• Manuscripts below this threshold may proceed to the peer-review stage.
• Similarity concentrated in a single source or section may still be subject to rejection.

3. Actions for High Similarity

• Manuscripts exceeding 20% similarity may be rejected or returned for major revision.
• Detected cases of intentional plagiarism will result in immediate rejection.
• The editorial board reserves the right to take further action in accordance with publication ethics.

4. Author Responsibilities

• Authors must ensure that their work is original prior to submission.
• All sources must be properly cited according to academic standards.
• Authors are encouraged to check similarity using plagiarism detection tools before submission.

5. Appeal Process

If authors believe that the similarity report is inaccurate, they may submit an appeal to the editorial board along with supporting evidence for further evaluation.

Editorial Note

This policy is implemented to foster a culture of academic honesty and to enhance the quality of publications in GECI. Manuscripts that fail to meet ethical standards will not be processed further.
