JBSI: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia is a journal that publishes research findings or scholarly studies in the fields of Indonesian language, literature, and culture. JBSI is published twice a year, in May and November.
JBSI publishes the best scientific works in the fields of Indonesian language, literature, and culture, with a focus on high-quality papers. The journal’s technical committee will review submitted articles. All submitted manuscripts must be original reports, containing novelty or new contributions from previous studies, either experimental or theoretical and will be reviewed by peer reviewers. Articles submitted to JBSI must not be published elsewhere. Manuscripts should follow the author guidelines provided by JBSI and will be reviewed and edited accordingly.
JBSI is published by Information Technology and Science (ITScience), a research institution based in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia, which is part of the Cita Cendekiawan Al Khwarizmi Foundation.
We are pleased to announce that, based on SK No. 862/DST/D.1/HM.01.01/2026, JBSI has successfully maintained its SINTA 4 accreditation. This accreditation is valid from Volume 5, Issue 1 (2025) through Volume 9, Issue 2 (2029).
