About the Journal
JBSI: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that publishes original research articles and academic studies on the Indonesian language, literature, and culture. The journal is published biannually, with issues released in May and November.
JBSI is committed to disseminating high-quality scholarly works through a rigorous editorial and peer-review process. The journal welcomes original manuscripts that demonstrate novelty and make significant theoretical, empirical, or methodological contributions to the fields of Indonesian language, literature, and culture.
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their relevance, originality, and compliance with the journal's policies and author guidelines. Manuscripts that pass this stage undergo a double-masked peer-review process conducted by independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant disciplines.
Submitted articles must be original, must not have been published previously, and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the JBSI Author Guidelines. Accepted manuscripts are subject to editorial revision and copyediting to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to the journal's publication standards.
JBSI is published by Information Technology and Science (ITScience), a research institution based in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia, and is part of the Cita Cendekiawan Al Khwarizmi Foundation.
